Retailer The North Face is utilizing geo targeting as part of their new SMS alerts campaign. Shoppers in New York, Seattle, San Francisco and Boston will soon receive text alerts on their cell phone when they are close to The North Face retail stores. The North Face will use the geo targeted texts to inform shoppers about promotions and new products at the ideal time, when customers are out shopping right near the store!
